AECT Competency AlignmentStandard 1: Content Knowledge — Creating, Using, Assessing/Evaluating, ManagingThe ADDIE framework demonstrates my ability to systematically plan, develop, implement, manage, and evaluate instructional solutions.Standard 2: Content Pedagogy — Creating, Using, Assessing/Evaluating, ManagingThe series demonstrates how instructional strategies, learning objectives, content, and evaluation can be intentionally aligned throughout the design process.Standard 4: Professional Knowledge & Skills — Assessing/Evaluating, Reflection on PracticeContinuous evaluation and reflection throughout ADDIE support evidence-informed decisions and ongoing improvement of learning experiences.Standard 5: Research — Theoretical Foundations, MethodThe project demonstrates my ability to apply an established instructional design framework as a systematic method for analyzing learning needs and developing instructional solutions.
The ADDIE Blog Series demonstrates my ability to apply a systematic instructional design process to the development of effective learning experiences. Through the five phases of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, I examine how learner needs, instructional goals, content development, implementation planning, and evaluation work together to create meaningful learning solutions.
Applying the ADDIE framework allows me to approach instructional challenges strategically, make evidence-informed design decisions, and continuously evaluate and improve learning experiences. This series demonstrates both my understanding of instructional design theory and my ability to communicate complex concepts in an accessible and engaging format.
